Winner!

Being true to my my consistent state of tardiness, I'm posting this two days later than planned. The winner of the character/limerick contest is Gzusfreek. Congratualations!

His humor and his bad boy dare
If he approaches I am short of breath
My love for others dying a quick death
I’ve thought of him for a long time
Just how can I make this man mine?
Cupid hit my heart with his arrow
The angel, the man, the pirate Jack Sparrow

Great job! Now, let's all swoon for Jack Sparrow.

Crazy Week

It's been a crazy week. A tornado hit Mena, and we lost power for a few days and internet for longer, so I'm just getting around to checking on my blog. I know I still need to come up with a useful post pertaining to writing, but I'm in overload, just a wee bit, at the moment. I do have some ideas brewing though!

Because of some other family circumstances that have arisen, we're leaving town for a few days, so I'm going to close the contest down tomorrow. Check tomorrow evening for the winner. A new contest will be announced in May with the same prize.

Sorry for the brief post. There's a lot on the plate at the moment. I will post some pics to give you an idea of what we're dealing with.

Thanks for understanding.

Entries can be funny, serious, complimentary, or insulting; just not vulgar. And no profanity--cuz I know that's such an issue with you guys. (Kidding, of course, better to be clear though.)

I will run this for two weeks. You may make as many entries as your brain allows.

Next week I'll try to post something useful.
